[Class 106 (ii)] [Also in Group XX] A rule comprises a centre-piece 1 and exchangeable scale members 4, 5 each having an enlarged edge 6, 7 which fits in and is resiliently gripped by a groove 3 on the centre-piece 1 so that the scale members may be held in the horizontal or sloping position. A removable knob, 2 may be provided on the centre-piece 1 and the scale members 4, 5 may be composed of transparent material and may carry any desired measuring units to full or reduced scales.
