Abstract
592,433. Doors. BARLTROP, A. C. Sept. 11, 1945, No. 23399. [Class 20 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] A door is pivoted about a horizontal axis parallel to the plane of the door but offset from it by the same distance as it is below the top of the door. As shown, a panelled door 10 carried on framework 13, 14, 15 and carrying a counterweight 16 is pivoted at 21 to fixed members 18, and dashpot 66 cushions the closing movement. The door is provided with a latch at each side and means for simultaneously operating or locking them (see Group XXV).
