Abstract

590,783. Shoots. VICKERS-ARMSTRONGS, Ltd., and EDWARDS, W. E. June 13, 1944, No. 11305. [Class 78(i) ] [Also in Group XXI] A flexible shoot for guiding ammunition belts and for like purposes is built up of nesting open-framed oblong elements 3, Fig. 1, having interengaging flanges, such as 3b to permit of slight rotational and tilting movements' of the frames in relation to one another so that the belt may be guided in a curvilinear or helical path. As shown in Fig. 3, sets of open-framed elements 3 alternate with closed frames 4 of similar shape, the frames being flexibly connected by metal or rubber spring links 8.
