Abstract
590,281. Trestles. THOMAS, A. Feb. 4, 1946, No. 441/45. [Class 52 (iii)] A builders' or decorators' trestle comprises a platform in two parts 1, 2 hinged or telescoping together each part having X-form legs 10, 12 the legs 10 being hinged to the outer ends of the platform sections at 9 and the legs 12 having a tie member 17 adapted to take in one of a series of slots 8 in the underside of the platform to adjust the height. The platform is of inverted channel section and the notches 8 are cut in angle members secured to the flanges 6. The legs take between the two sections of the platform when folded. The trestle may be made of aluminium or moulded plastic material, and the platform may be of openwork construction to reduce the weight. The legs may be telescopic.
