[Class 78(i)] In apparatus such as pneumatic conveyers and hammer mills and similar disintegrating devices in the operation of which a volume of air varying with the load is drawn in by suction action, the feed of material is controlled by a pivoted slide 3, an extension 6 of which is connected by a link 10 to a pivoted damper 7 so that the feed is controlled in accordance with the variations of the volume of air sucked into the device by the action of the material.
