[Class 72] A magnetic filter for liquids comprises a series of perforated magnetic plates a removably mounted on a rod f and arranged in a box-like container formed by two magnetic side plates b mounted on or directly connected to the poles c<SP>1</SP> of a permanent or electromagnet c, a magnetic plate e and a cover plate d made of non-magnetic material secured in position in the plates b. In a modification the container is provided with an end wall secured in position by a jawed clamp secured in position by a bolt.
