589,341 . Inductive relays. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. March 14, 1944, Nos. 4698 and 4699. Convention dates, March 26, 1943, and Feb. 4, 1944. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXV] Each core element of a transductor carries a main winding 4, 5 connected in series with a half-wave rectifier 2, 3 and a subsidiary winding which carries A.C., Fig. 5 (not shown), or pulsating current consisting of the half-cycles of the main A.C. other than those traversing the main winding. The subsidiary winding may have its own half-wave rectifier, Fig. 4 (not shown), or may be connected in series with the main winding of the other element of a pair, Fig. 1 (not shown). In a somewhat similar arrangement, Fig. 2, but arranged to give a rectified output, additional half-wave rectifiers 11, 12 are connected as shown, a direct current load being connected to terminals 13, 14 instead of an A.C. load in series with the A.C. input terminals 1, 8. In a similar arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), the D.C. load is connected to the junction points of the main and auxiliary windings. The invention may be used in a 3-phase rectifying system, Fig. 6 (not shown). In the arrangement shown in Fig. 8, two similar pairs of transductor elements are provided, each element having a main and a subsidiary winding related as in the other embodiments. The load is connected at 20. In a similar arrangement, Fig. 7 (not shown), the rectifiers 21, 22 are replaced by individual rectifiers between each of the subsidiary windings and the upper main.
