[Class 20 (ii)] [Also in Group XV] An architectural modelling device comprises a series of panels representing building components, each of which is formed from sheet material and provided with angular flanged portions, which in combination with channelled locking parts, adapted to engage any pair or a series of flanges, and locking dowel rods and tubes, adapted to engage said flanges and channelled members, secure the panels in rigid assembly. As shown in Fig. 1, each panel 1, which is preferably stamped from sheet material, is flanged on all sides, the flanges 2 being either formed by bending the edges back at an angle of 30' or welded, to save metal, to the panel, and is coloured and/or indented to represent different building materials or doors, windows and the like. The panels may be joined horizontally or vertically by means of channelled locking members 3, each of which slidably engages a pair or series of flanges, and dowel rods 4, which pass through the channelled members and engage the flanges. The channelled members may be of different shapes to enable panels to be secured at various angles (Figs. 3, 4 and 7). A roof panel may be shaped to overhang the wall panel (Fig. 7) or a guttering (not shown) may be inserted between the roof and wall panels. The dowel rods may be replaced by tubes, which are preferably open at their seams (Fig. 7).
