[Class 97 (i)] A mounting for a kinematograph camera comprises a carriage for the camera movable in a linear path substantially at right angles to the optical axis of the camera, a fixed ramp positioned at an angle to the said path, and an arm engaging the ramp and adapted to effect the slewing of the camera on the carriage about an axis normal to the optical axis and coincident with the centre of the lens system of the camera, and through an angle which is, for a small movement of the carriage, proportional to the displacement of the carriage, whereby the optical axis of the camera remains directed substantially at a given point during said small movement. The centre of interest of the scene is located at the latter point and a stereoscopic effect obtained in the projected picture. As shown, the carriage 1 moves on rails 2 and carries a camera platform 4 pivoted at 5 and carrying an arm 7 with roller 8. The latter is held by a spring in contact with a ramp 9 pivoted at 10 and set at an angle to the rails 2 which is adjustable by the screw 12. The latter adjusts the distance from the camera of the point to which the positions of the camera axis are converged. Specification 165,587, [Class 97 (i)], is referred to.
