Abstract

583,719. Hose clips. JAMIE, R. C. S., and HUNT & TURNER, Ltd. Nov. 22, 1944, No. 23195. [Class 44] A metal hose clip has the band formed of separate sections which are connected together resiliently. The sections 1, 2, 3 are interconnected by spiral springs 16 held between brackets 15 attached to section 1, and brackets 14 attached to sections 2 and 3. The overlapping ends of sections 2, 3 normally abut against brackets 15. The free ends are bridged by a section 5 secured to either 2 or 3, and are drawn together by a bolt 9 engaging with a spherical nut 11 and bearing on a spherical washer 12. The sections may be either of channelled cross-section or flat. In the latter construction relative guidance is effected by a pin on one section engaging with a slot in the adjacent section.
