Abstract

578,388. Shear blades and punches. FABRIKSAKTIEBOLAGET HALDATAXAMETERN. March 28, 1944, No. 5699. Convention date, April 19, 1943. [Class 83 (iv)] In a machine having a shear blade, punch or like tool 6 for acting on sheet metal, the tool is laterally adjusted by a wedge 16 preferably operated by an eccentric or cam 18. The shear blade 6 shown is arranged in a slot 8 of a block 1 secured to the machine 2, Fig. 3, and bears against co-operating wedges 15, 16 pressed apart by a spring 26, the former being located by a pin 17 and the latter retained by a bolt 28. The wedge 16 can be vertically adjusted by the eccentric portion 18 of a pin 19 adapted to be rotated by a key and locked by a screwed ring 23. The blade 6 can be adjusted longitudinally by a screw 9 engaging a threaded block 10 inserted in a bore 11 of the block 1 and fixed by a screw 13 engaging the threaded portion of another bore.
