Abstract
577,055. Gauging-apparatus. NILESBEMENT-POND CO. May 12, 1944, No. 9114. Convention date, May 13, 1943. [Class 106 (ii)] A dimension gauge Gomprises a base 10, an arm 12 outstanding therefrom, a gauge head 13 mounted at the outer end of the arm, means 19 to supply fluid at constant pressure to the gauge, the fluid supply means terminating in oppositely disposed orifices 16 in the head 13, fluid pressure indicating means 23 in the arm .and a work-supporting carriage 25 movable on the base 10 on which a workpiece may be positioned and moved over the arm 12 and head 13 past the orifices 16. The head 13 is detachable in order that the gauge can be adapted to-measure various dimensions.
