[Class 126] In heat - conserving, insulated, solid fuel type stoves, in which an inner stove casing is separated by means of insulating material from the outer stove walls, the inner casing and outer walls being mounted upon a metal base, and being surmounted by a top plate or hob, one or more strands of insulating material are fitted in the joints between the outer walls of the casing and the base and top of the stove. Strands 9 and 4 are laid, respectively, between flange 8 of the outer casing 5 and flange 10 of the top plate 11, and along the channel 3 in the base 1. Locating studs 7 may be screw-threaded through a flange 2a on the base, through the channel 3 into the flange 6 to prevent excessive compression of the packing, alternatively, the flange 6 may be spaced apart from the channel 3 by means of projections cast in either; the flanges 8 and 10 may be similarly spaced apart.
