Abstract
574,703. Cots. EATON, W. H. Sept. 9, 1944, No. 17250. [Class 52 (ii)] A collapsible cot comprises upper and lower longitudinal tubular rails a and b in parts connected by bayonet or screw joints, spring catches &c. end frames c formed with projecting rods e to which the longitudinal members are connected by similar joints, and separate legs d. The cot may have a one-piece fabric covering fastened by lacing or press-studs and preferably supported under the bottom by crossed tens:on springs l. The whole may be packed into a small case. The bottom of the cot may be formed by a wood member in two parts hinged at the middle and resting on the frame bars, the member having flanges all round it so that it forms a case for the frame when folded, as shown in Fig. 7, the members c being retained by spring catches and serving as handles.
