573,660. Screening electrical apparatus. DAVIS, J. J. Nov. 29, 1940, No. 17077. [Classes 38 (ii) and 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVII] i Electrical apparatus which may set up radio interference, for example, high-tension distributers and ignition coils, is screened by means of a cap or envelope of low resistance conductivity rubber, that is, rubber moulded with a high percentage of graphite. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the screen is in two parts, a sleeve of conductivity rubber a with a lining d of pure rubber and a detachable dome-shaped cover b of conductivity rubber. The sleeve is clamped to the distributer head by a metal clamp e which is earthed. The sleeve is formed with orifices for the passage of the leads. Alternatively, the screen may be in one piece, of dome shape, with an orifice at the top for the passage of the leads.
