Abstract

572,115. Building blocks. STANTON IRONWORKS CO., Ltd., CORNELIUS, F. B., and WOODCOCK, H. Dec. 31, 1943, No. 21913. [Class 87 (i)] Wall slabs b for framed structures have one vertical edge deeply grooved at d to interlock with a dovetail &c. ridge e on the vertical edge of the adjacent slab and to enclose one of the frame stanchions a between them, the groove d being widened at the middle part f and the ridge e narrowed at the middle part g so that one slab may be interlocked with the next by raising it only to the height of such narrowed ridge part as shown and not the whole height of the slab; sufficient clearance is left for grouting. Grooves may be provided in the top and bottom edges for jointing material together with means at one or both ends of the slabs for attaching an inner slab or lining thereto.
