[Class 5 (i)] A trap of the choker type, comprising a choker bow 12, a spring 15, a manually-actuated setting member 14 integral with the spring and carrying the choker bow, and a releasable trigger 24 is provided with a tumbler lever 18 pivoted on a clip 19 or other pivot on the trap casing 10. The inner hooked end of the lever passes through a slot in the trigger. In setting the trap from the released position shown on the right-hand side of Fig. 2 to the set position shown on the left-hand side of Fig. 2 (the casing 10 may carry four traps), the user grasps the casing with one hand and with the other pulls down the member 14 which, on seating within a notch 21 in the lever 18 tilts the latter and raises the hooked inner end thereof from the position shown in Fig. 7 to the position shown in Fig. 8. The pivoted trigger 24 then swings under the hooked end and props up the lever, the trap being thus set. When the animal, proceeding towards bait on a hook 31, puts its head through the bow 12 and tilts the trigger 24, the trap is sprung.
