570,107. Inductor alternators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and WALKER, J. H. June 17, 1943, No. 9753. [Class 35] In an inductor-alternator with unsubdivided stator polepieces and with an A.C. winding in each slot, the exciting winding or windings is or are disposed in alternate slots so that the number of poles is half the number of stator polepieces and the number of polepieces or teeth in the rotor is three times the number of stator poles. A two-pole machine is shown with four stator polepieces 6 embraced by A.C. coils 4, 3 being the exciting winding. Specification 534,784 is referred to.
