Abstract

569,906. Dish - washing machines. HEATING CONSTRUCTION, Ltd., and DARBY, H. G. Dec. 11, 1943, No. 20761. [Class 138 (i)] A dish-washing machine is constructed of a casing 5 having an opening 6 adapted to be closed by a door 7 which normally is horizontal when open and is formed with projecting ribs- 11 over which slides a cage member 10 formed with grid members 13, 14 for cups &c. and a rack 12 for plates. Bevelled edges 9 on the door ensure a tight closure. The articles are cleaned by jets of hot water delivered from a tank 18 by means of a pipe 20 leading to a header 22 in connection with spray pipes 21, 24. The tank 18 is heated by an electric immerser 19, or by gas jets, and can be connected to a cold-water inlet 30 by a valve 29 which 'can be controlled by a thermostat, or operated by hand to increase the pressure of the jets. Or the jets may be supplied directly from a hot-water supply system. A partition 15' separates the tank and washing-chamber, and an outlet pipe 28 is formed in the dished bottom 27 of the casing 5.
