Abstract

566,533. Making cased bolts, nuts, &c. STEINLE, L. C. May 25, 1943, No. 8329. [Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XXV] Threaded and grooved objects are protected from corrosion by providing the external or internal parts, that are to be grooved, prior to grooving, with a metallic coating, other than one of gold or gold alloy, and then forming the threads &c. by a rolling or other non-cutting process. The coating may be a metal or alloy chosen from. aluminium, nickel, magnesium, rhodium, silver, lead, palladium, tin and zinc, or from beryllium, calcium, lithium, mercury, platinum, arsenic, bismuth, molybdenum, chromium, cadmium, manganese, vanadium and tungsten. Coatings may be applied by electro - deposition, spraying, or immersion. Specification 566,453 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
