Abstract

563,286. Wringers. ACME WRINGERS, Ltd., and BURT, T. W. Oct. 29, 1942, No. 15223. [Class 138 (ii)] A wringing machine comprises an upper frame part 13 of inverted U-form and a lower frame part 14 attached to and forming, in conjunction with the upper part, a supporting frame for rollers 15, 16, the upper roller 15 being journalled in fixed bearings 21 in the frame part 13 and the lower roller 16 in bearings 19 guided in the frame part 14 and supported on springs 23 carried by bolts 20 penetrating the side limbs of the upper frame part 13. One end of the shaft 18 carrying the roller 16 is prolonged to receive the usual crank handle. The frame parts 13, 14 are so shaped that only the effective area of the rollers is exposed and the part 14 closely fits the lower roller 16 to provide a shoot for water expelled from wet articles.
