[Class 37] A waterproof assembly for rectifier elements comprises a selenium coated disc 1, a rubber &c. ring 4 around its edge and a springy disc 6 so shaped that when compressed, as by a central bolt, washer 10 seats on disc 1, the edge fits tightly over the ring 4, and the plate 6 lies in contact over the whole surface of the counterelectrode on the selenium layer 2. Additional selenium coated discs &c. may be added as at 1a.
