Abstract

558,203. Control of motors; metal bending machines. PASHLEY, W. R. June 27, 1942, No. 8863. [Class 38 (iii)] [Also in Group XXII] A machine for bending tubes is driven by an electric motor, and limit switches 31 are adjustably positioned on a slotted rail 38 so as to be actuated by a bracket 27 carried by the bending mechanism. The switches may be duplicated, so that one switches the motor "off" and the other reverses the motor after a short over,- run. The bending tool 25 lies between the work 14 and a disc 22, the axis 23 of which is fixed on a bracket 21 driven by a worm wheel 17 and pulley 20 from one electric motor (not shown).
