557,637. Collapsable boats and rafts. HARDWICKE, J. E., and HARDWICKE, J. H. Aug. 11, 1942, No. 11225. [Classes 113 (i) and 113 (ii)] A collapsable boat or raft comprises a base a of waterproof material to which are independently secured blocks b of compressible material encased in waterproof material. The base may be of linen or canvas, and the blocks, which are preferably rectangular, of flocculent material. The marginal blocks are spaced from the central blocks so as to assume automatically an upright position when the central part is loaded, and a cord is passed through internally arranged eyelets.
