557,329. Wearing-apparel. BRITISH CELANESE, Ltd. (Celanese Corporation of America). May 12, 1942, No. 6423. [Class 141] The turned-inportion at the bottom of a cuffless trouser leg is secured to the main fabric by bonding with the aid of heat and pressure to the opposite faces of an interlining of flexible material containing an artificial organic thermoplastic film-forming substance. The bonding can be facilitated by the presence of softening liquid or solvent for the thermoplastic material. The invention is also applicable to cuffs of coats and jackets and the bottoms of skirts.
