Abstract

548,046. Surgical dressings &c. HARRIS, W.S., GREEN, C. B., and GRIFFITHS HUGHES, Ltd., E. Feb. 19, 1941, No. 2256. [Classes 81 (i) and 81 (ii)] Lint, bandage, gauze, cotton wool, and other surgical dressings and bindings are impregnated with kaolin or Fullers earth mixed with gum tragacanth, methyl cellulose, and/or other adhesive which causes the kaolin or Fullers earth to stick to the lint &c. without permanent destruction of the absorptive property of the kaolin or Fullers earth. Examples are given and according to the Provisional Specification activated charcoal may be used. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 6349/05, [Class 81], 22327/10, [Class 81 (i)], and 421,545.
