Abstract
545,962. Coating with metals. MOND NICKEL CO., Ltd. Jan. 20, 1942, No. 841. Convention date, Jan. 21, 1941. [Class 82 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXXVI, III, VIII and XV] Nickel films are produced on metal surfaces, e.g. steel surfaces by spraying them with a lacquer containing a nickel pigment formed from electrolytically produced nickel flakes, heating in an inert or reducing atmosphere, and rolling or working the coated body. Alternatively, steel may be coated with a thin copper plate and then with the nickel lacquer and heated to fuse the copper layer; it may then be cold worked, e.g. by rolling. Two or more coatings may be applied.
