Abstract

545,518. Cigarette &c. lighters. BEECH, E. E., WALL, Ltd., H., and PEARLMAN & CO., Ltd., B. Aug. 27, 1941, No. 10923. [Classes 75 (iii)] The pivot pin of the combined striking wheel and thumb wheel is collapsable axially to facilitate assembly. As shown the thumb wheel 3 has an extension 4 on which the striking wheel 2 is mounted. The pivot is made in two parts 5, 6 between which is a spring 7. The part 5 is formed with a collar 9 to limit its outward motion; the part 6 is fixed. Both parts may be movable or the part 6 only.
