[Class 141] [Also in Group VIII] Waterproof garments are ventilated by using a fabric composed of a number of horizontal parallel strips 1 ... 4 of waterproof fabric overlapping each other and joined at their edges by staggered patches of adhesive 5 having gaps 6 between them. Bands 7 are attached to the ends of the strips and are secured to the garment by buttons &c. so. that they are held taut when it is desired to reduce or stop the ventilation. The strips may be vertical with the top edges of the patches of adhesive sloping downwards towards the exposed edges of the strips.
