[Class 38 (i)] An adjustable conductive connection to a tubular con ductor is made by means of a sliding contact consisting of a resilient ring pressed against the tubular conductor by the action of a pair o resilient discs betweer which the ring is mounted In the form shown a split ring a co-operating with the interior of a tubular conductor d is pressed' outwards by phosphor-bronze discs b flared at the edges and pressed together by screws i that also serve to mount the discs on a plunger tube c. If an exterior contact with a central tube e is required the discs b are made annular and carry an inner contact ring f in addition to or instead of the outer ring a.
