Abstract
539,085. Lubricating. DRUMMOND, A. June 12, 1940, No. 10265. [Class 12. (iii)] Lubricant is distri. buted from a tank A Fig. 1, to machine nozzles by a valve comprising a perforatec slide C reciprocated a fast speed at appreciably long intervals by a fast-moving part of the machine, the slide dur. ing part of its trave: causing the supply lines of the tank and the nozzles to register so as to pass a small amount of lubricant. Slide C is coupled by a bell-crank lever D and rod KL to a starting handle M, N., The holes H in the slide always connect with a slot' J in the tank but only momentarily with conduits f<SP>1</SP> to the lubricator body E, these conduits leading to pipes G supplying the nozzles. Any suitable part of the machine may be connected to the lever D by the provision of catches or projections p<SP>1</SP>, p<SP>2</SP>, Fig 5, on part P engaging a fly-over lever Q. which actuates stops r<SP>1</SP>, r<SP>2</SP> on a slide R coupled by lever S to rod K. A spring plunger T engages a double incline on the heel of lever Q.
