[Class 107] [Also in Group XXV] A manhole cover 3 is, opened by a lever 7 pivoted at 8 to the frame 1 and connected by a link 10 to a lever 5 pivoted at 6 to the frame and connected by a link 9 to the cover. A pivoted detent 13 engages a slot 14 in the frame to hold the cover in the open position. A ladder 11 pivoted at 8 may'be connected at 12 to the lever 7 and used to move the latter.
