538,529. Filter paper. BECKMAN, L. A., and BRITISH TWIN DISC & CLARIFIERS, Ltd. March 11, 1940, No. 4542. [Class 96] [Also in Group III] A gas filtering and purifying medium comprises a permeable coherent filtration mass having disposed therein a particulate absorbent material. The coherent mass is preferably composed of cellulose fibres and the absorbent may be kieselguhr, bentonite, fuller's earth, or activated bauxite. The ingredients may be beaten together and formed into a paper-like strip which may have a crimped or indented surface.
