[Class 82 (i)] Piston rings are cast individually from an iron alloy containing 0.25-0.4 per cent. of chromium, 0.25-0.4 per cent. of molybdenum, 0.6-0.9 per cent. of manganese, 3.5-3.75 per cent. of carbon, 2.5-3 per cent. of silicon, 0.5-0.8 per cent. of phosphorus, and up to 0.08 per cent. of sulphur.
