530,681. Track-actuated train control apparatus. VEREINIGTE EISENBAHN-SIGNALWERKE GES. March 14, 1939, No. 8181. Convention date, March 14, 1938. [Class 105] Track-apparatus of the inductive type in which a relay is normally excited by a generator but is dropped during passage over a control point and in which a pull-off magnet is provided has the generator field winding and the pull-off magnet arranged in series. The balance of the normal relay current and the pull-off magnet current is accordingly unaffected by the resistance changes arising from temperature variations in the generator winding, the generator usually being exposed and therefore subject to wide temperature changes. The arrangement shown comprises a multi-frequency generator 3 supplying three resonance circuits the relays 7, 8, 9 of which drop on passing over corresponding tuned circuits on the track. The generator field winding 2 and the three pull-off magnets 10, 11, 12 are in series and supplied from a direct current generator 1. If the frequency departs excessively from normal a relay changes over a contact 16, cutting out the pull-off magnets but continuing the energization of the generator field winding 2 through a resistance 15.
