Abstract
530,001. Spraying plaster. SCHUETZ, H. June 1, 1939, No. 16155. [Class 20 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIX] A spray-gun for projecting a plaster mixture on to a surface is provided in the outlet tube 12, Fig. 2, with an axially-disposed rod 13 which causes the issuing plaster to be of annular crosssection, and this plaster is then finely. broken up by compressed air which flows through a further tube 19 arranged around the said outlet tube. The plaster is fed. to the tube 12 through a tube 10, and the compressed air passes from a tube 14 to the mouthpiece 15. The mouthpiece is screwed on the tube 19 and the flow of compressed air depends upon the position of this member on the gun. The outflow of plaster can be regulated by substituting one headed member 18 which is screwed on to the end of the rod 13 for another of smaller or greater diameter. The plaster mixture is contained, prior to spraying, in a. vessel 1, Fig. 1, in which it is mixed by means of compressed air fed to the lower part of the vessel through apertures 17 in a pipe 3. The plaster mixture may consist of asbestos fibre, pipe clay, cement, river sand or marble meal, and water; alternatively, the mixture may consist of white asbestos, marble meal, pipe clay, cement, colouring matter, and a waterproofing agent such as a fluosilicate or ceresin.
