529,862. Wireless receiving circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., BLIGH, N. R., and BLOCH, A. June 9, 1939, No. 16956. [Class 40 (v)] In a radio receiver particularly for short wave television reception on a single wavelength, intermediate frequency drift is reduced by making the local frequency proportional to the intermediate frequency. The natural frequency of the local oscillator is adjusted to be close to the intermediate frequency and is then made equal to the intermediate frequency by the local oscillator being forced by the intermediate oscillations. The desired local frequency is then obtained from the oscillator by means of a frequency multiplier. Specification 415,051 is referred to.
