[Classes 3 (i) and 3 (ii)] An optical display device for dis playing objects, intermittently if desired, and also multiple reflection! of other objects or outlines asso. ciated with the principal object! comprises a casing containing ar object C arranged behind a semi. transparent mirror B and also a lamp A, and further objects or out. lines are arranged between reflecting surfaces E and a semi-transparent mirror D arranged at another aperture or apertures in the front of the casing. The latter objects or outlines may be luminous or may be translucent parts or cut-outs in an otherwise opaque reflector E for illumination by the lamp A. Colour filters may if desired be arranged behind the reflectors E and these reflectors and the mirrors D may be inclined to one another or curved or cyclically varied to give various effects to the multiple images displayed to the observer, who will see also the object C at the times the lamp A is switched on.
