526,720. Wireless transmitting systems. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE. March 25, 1939, No. 9416. Convention date, March 26, 1938. [Class 40 (v)i] In a high-frequency transmitter in which distortion is reduced by feed-back of the lowfrequency component obtained by rectification of the modulated output, non-rectilinear action of the rectifier at high degrees of modulation is prevented by reducing the depth of modulation by the addition of carrier in the rectifier circuit. The transmitting valve R is supplied with carrier from T and modulation from M. A modulated high-frequency component is obtained in the coupling coil CC from the output circuit OC, and is rectified at G to' obtain a modulation voltage which is combined with the original modulating voltage in a bridge B. The difference voltage occurring across arm Z, which corresponds to the distortion in valve R, is then applied to the grid circuit of the valve in a sense to compensate for distortion. Carrier-frequency oscillations are superimposed by means of a coil CK in the rectifier circuit, and are obtained from T via a phase-adjusting arrangement P.
