[Class 20 (ii)] An improvement in or modification of the invention of the parent Specification consists in the formation of H or I- section stanchions from two pairs of Z- shaped elements by eliminating the separate central plate and by forming the unflanged limb 1 of one element as the - continuation of the unflanged limb of another element to constitute the web 1a of the composite section. The flanged limbs 2 may be disposed on the same side but at opposite ends of the web as shown in Fig. 2 or, alternatively, the flanged limb may be disposed on opposite sides of the web as shown in Fig. 4, the composite section being completed in each case by the addition of the other pair of Z-elements, to form the channels for receiving the wood filling.
