Abstract

524,710. Fountain pens. MENTMORE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and JOHNSON, W. F. Feb. 3, 1939, No. 3712. [Class 146 (iii)] In fountain pens in which the nib 8 and the feed 6 are mounted in a removable sleeve 7, which is received in the nib section 1, the inner end of the feed projects from the sleeve and constitutes the means for connecting the removable part with the nib section. The projecting end 6a of the feed is preferably screwthreaded, so as to engage in a threaded bore in the nib section. The threaded bore is of reduced diameter, so as to form a shoulder 4, against which the end of the sleeve 7 is drawn when the feed is screwed into position.
