Abstract

523,624. Fusible cut-outs. WALSALL CONDUITS, Ltd., and GOUGH, E. Jan. 11, 1939, No. 894. [Class 38 (i)] A carrier 17 for a fuse cartridge 21 is fitted with spring clips 20 that engage projecting lugs 34 attached to the caps 33 of the cartridge. Each clip 20 is held in a recess 19 by a nut 24 screwing on a stud 25 and retains the U-shaped contact 11 which is finally clamped into contact with the lug 34 by a nut 32. The lugs 34 are slotted to receive the studs 25 one slot being longitudinal as shown and the other lateral with an enlargement at its base. The contacts 11 enter the contacts of the fuse base and these may consist of a spring clip embracing a terminal block.
