Abstract

523,559. Burner mountings. GRUNTA, M. Jan. 4, 1939, No. 331. Convention date, Jan. 18, 1938. [Class 75 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] Water for shower baths or decontamination douches is heated in tubes 7 by a burner 8 which is pivoted at 10 and is interconnected by levers with the water supply cock 3 so that when water is turned off the burner is turned away from the tubes 7. When the burner is deflected by levers 9, 13 its oil supply is diminished and the heat passes into channel 12. Cold water is supplied from a pipe 1 or from the bottom of the closed water-tank by pumping air into it. A cock 15 allows cold water to be added to the heated water passing to an outlet 4. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a boiler with a grate 21 for solid fuel, water tubes 22, a water jacket 23 and an upper water space 25 containing a coil 26 to which cold water is fed at 27 and from which hot water is supplied at 28 to a douche. The coil has an open-ended branch 29 for feeding and avoiding excess pressure in the boiler. Dampers 35, 36 in flues at the top and bottom. of the boiler lead to a chimney 34 and are interconnected by a rod 37 so that when one damper is open, the other is closed, the amount of heating of the water being thereby controlled. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specificaion as accepted.
