Abstract

522,683. Rubber gloves &c. INTERNATIONAL LATEX PROCESSES, Ltd., ROGERSON, J., and WARREN, F. W. Dec. 13, 1938, No. 36235. [Class 70] Rubber articles, such as gloves, provided with a lining of finely-divided fibres, are formed by applying to a former a viscous film of a coagulant for rubber latex, applying a coating of finely-divided fibre to the film and depositing thereon a layer of rubber from an aqueous dispersion thereof. The coagulant may be calcium chloride or nitrate or zinc chloride dissolved in a volatile solvent such as alcohol or acetone containing glycerine or ethylene glycol and a small proportion of acetic acid. The rubber may be applied by dipping or spraying. Multiple layers of different colours may be applied. Natural or artificial dispersions of rubber, guttapercha or balata or dispersions of coagulated, vulcanized or synthetic rubber, or the concentrates described in Specifications 219,635 and 290,313, [both in Class 70], may be used.
