Abstract

521,220. Anti-vibration lamp mountings. AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and HOLBURN, H. A. Nov. 12, 1938, No. 32965. [Class 75 (iii)] [Also in Groups XXXII and XXXVI] In an anti-vibration mounting for the barretter lamps used in telephone systems, the lamp 17 is secured to a plate 11 having a threaded edge and a similar plate 10 is secured to the support 16, the plates being connected by a helical spring 12 engaging their threaded edges. The ends of the spring engage in notches in the plates. As shown, the plate 10 is provided with a tapped hole 9 to receive a fixing screw 13, and the plate 11 has a threaded stem 14 which screws into a tapped hole in the base of the lamp 17. The screw 13 and the stem 14 may be of the same size. A felt or rubber washer 15 may be provided between the plates, and the terminal tags 20 may be screened from the support by an insulating washer 18.
