Abstract

[Class 126] A rack or shelf e pivoted directly at d to the frame b of the hinged cover or lid of a cooker or stove is folded under the lid when the lid is in the closed position and is raised when the lid is opened by links h connecting lugs g on the shelf to brackets i on a frame j at the top of the stove. The shelf is supported in the raised position by struts m connected by a rod o engaging notches q in the sides of the frame b. The rod o is pressed upwardly to release the shelf before the lid is closed. Spring or rubber buffers t are provided in the lid to prevent damage if the handle s is accidentally released during the closing movement. A bar u for supporting tea-cloths may be pivoted to the rack.
