Abstract

519,227. Moulds for confectionery. HOULSTON, F. H. Oct. 3, 1938, No. 28619. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XXII] Moulds 6 for chocolates &c., are made from sheet metal blanks formed into troughs having inverted U-shaped rims 6b and flat marginal portions 6a and soldered together in rows in a frame 5, as shown in Fig. 1. The rims are then machined away to make the mouths of the troughs flush with the margins, and to produce knife-like edges at the junctions of the troughs with the margins, as shown in Fig. 3. Strengthening rings 9 secured by the solder 7 that unites the moulds to the frame, may be provided.
