Abstract

518,907. Electric immersion heaters. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., FILDES, H., and HACKETT, L. A. Sept. 15, 1938, No. 26958. [Class 39 (iii)] An. electric immersion heater is mounted inside a circulator tube 4 through an elongated aperture 2 in a tank 1. The heater is screwed into a flange 7, which is manipulated through the aperture 2 and secured to the wall 1 by hollow bolts 8; and the flange 6 supporting the tube 4 is secured to the flange 7 by studs 9 extending through the hollow bolts 8, and co-operating with nuts 11. In a modification the flange 6 may be tapped to receive bolts inserted through the hollow bolts 8 from the outside.
