Abstract

517,750. Moulding screwed caps for bottles &c. STOKES MACHINE CO., F. J., and STRAUSS, W. Aug. 11, 1938, No. 23742. [Class 87 (ii)] A machine for moulding screwed caps for bottles, jars &c. includes a platen 26 carrying a screwed mould element or punch 28 adapted to enter a die 31 in a platen 35. During the opening of the mould, the die 31 is rotated by an electric motor which is switched in through contacts 61 that are closed by parts associated with the upper platen. The machine may be of the kind described in Specification 515,790 in which the operations are controlled by a device of the kind described in Specification 515,828, [Group XXXVII], and in which the. machine is stopped by mechanism of the kind described in Specification- 515,829 when a moulded article fails to be delivered.
