Abstract

516,172. Weighing apparatus.. BERKEL AUTO SCALE CO., Ltd. (Maatschappij Van Berkel's Patent N. V.). June 22, 1938, No. 18511. [Class 143] In a weighing- apparatus of the kind wherein the weighing capacity is changed by the deposition of additional weights upon a rod carried by the weighbeam, means acting upon the rod are provided to compensate for error arising when the apparatus is out of level. As shown, the rod 3 receiving the additional weights G and suspended from the weighbeam 2 is connected by a link. 4 to a stationary part 9 of the apparatus. A load rod P and a pendulum type of counterbalance D are connected to the beam. If the apparatus is tilted, the thrust or pull of the link 4 prevents the weighted rod 3 from disturbing the zero registration of the indicator. Specification 497,470 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
